Patrick and Kay founded the PK Hummingbird Steel Orchestra with the hope of providing youth and their families a safe, welcoming environment to learn music, in particular the steel pan. This instrument originates from their home country of Trinidad and Tobago and the band gives them the opportunity to share this vibrant culture with the Niagara Region. Throughout the years, we have developed a diverse family of musicians who share their own cultures and knowledge to keep the band a fun, creative space!

We perform throughout the Niagara Region and Southern Ontario. You may have seen us at Santa Claus Parades, the Niagara Falls Canada Day Parade, and the Niagara Folk Arts Festival. Please contact us for performance and membership inquiries!
We welcome new members year round! We offer free lessons to youths 9 years old and up as well as their families. Contact us for practice times and further information. No experience needed!
